What we collect
Your membership record is deliberately small:
- Email address — required to join and to receive your member emails.
- Your watchlist — the states (and any counties) you follow.
- A member token — a random string that keys your private member-home link. There is no password.
- Plan and billing status — your plan, whether your subscription is active, and renewal dates, mirrored from Stripe.
- A partner referral code, if you arrived through a partner's link, so the partner can be credited.
- Anything you send us when you email us.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number. We store your plan, subscription status, and period dates so your member page can show them and cancellations can be honored.
How we use it
Only to run your membership: send your one daily email and the transactional emails that apply to you, show your member page, operate billing and cancellation, credit a referring partner, and answer your messages.
What we never do
We do not sell personal data. Ever. We share member data only with the processors required to run the service — email delivery, Stripe for payments, and hosting/analytics — and only to the extent the service requires.
Email and opt-out
You receive at most one alert email per day. Every LienToDeed email carries an unsubscribe link and a postal address. Unsubscribing is durable and total: we record the opt-out and honor it for every email type, including transactional mail, from that moment on. If your email address hard-bounces, we suppress it the same way rather than keep mailing a dead address.
Analytics and local storage
This site uses cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count visits. If you arrive through a partner link, your browser stores the partner code locally (localStorage) so a later signup can be attributed to that partner; it is not a tracking cookie and is never sold or shared beyond that attribution.
Property data
The data in our alerts and reports — parcels, sale dates, published amounts — comes from public county publications. That data is about properties and sales, not about our members.
Your choices
Email us any time to see, correct, or delete your member data. Deleting your account removes your member record, watchlist, and token. Unsubscribing stops email while leaving your member page reachable if you ever want to return.
