December 2026 Tax Sales in Ohio
December in Ohio, in numbers
Ohio's December is a sheriff-sale calendar: 5 tax foreclosure sales and 84 parcels. Clark County does most of the volume with 67 parcels on December 4; Scioto County adds 12 on December 2, and Tuscarawas, Hocking and Wood counties carry small lists of 1 to 3 parcels.
Published opening bids are on file for only 4 of the 84 parcels — Hocking County's single parcel at $23,148 and Wood County's 3 parcels totaling $222,105, a figure driven by one $205,698 parcel. The other lists publish no amounts in the data we ingest, and none of the five counties published assessed values — so no ceiling estimates are shown for Ohio's December sales.

How Ohio's December sales work
Ohio is a hybrid state, but the December sales here are its deed side: tax foreclosure sales conducted by the sheriff, where the buyer acquires the property itself and no interest is paid. (Ohio's lien certificate sales — up to 18% per year, bid down — are a separate calendar.) For a foreclosure sale, the owner's equity of redemption is cut off on confirmation of the sheriff sale.
Clark County's 67-parcel list is the one to work early: screen it down to a bid list from the county page below, verify finalists against county records, and confirm sale-day procedures with the sheriff's office — in-person Ohio sales run on the court's schedule, not the auction sites'.
