December 2026 Tax Sales in Florida
December in Florida, in numbers
Florida's December calendar is a run of small, rural clerk tax deed sales: 11 sales and 37 parcels in all, spread across 9 North Florida counties. December is deed season in these counties — a certificate holder has applied for a tax deed, the clerk has published the list, and the property itself goes to auction at the courthouse.
Published opening bids are on file for 35 of the 37 parcels and total $156,480. None of these nine counties published assessed values with their December lists, so no ceiling estimates are shown for these sales — where the data does not support a number, we show none rather than invent one.

How Florida's December sales work
Florida is a hybrid state. In the spring, counties sell tax lien certificates — bidding starts at 18% per year and is bid down — and a certificate holder may apply for a tax deed after 2 years. The December sales on this page are the other end of that pipeline: clerk-run tax deed auctions of the property itself. Once the deed is issued and the winning bid is paid, there is no post-sale redemption.
Lists this small reward parcel-level homework over volume screening: with 1 to 10 parcels per sale, the work is verifying each property against county records and confirming registration, deposit and payment rules with the clerk's office before sale day.

Questions
Are these the same as Florida's tax certificate sales?
No. Florida sells tax lien certificates in the spring; the December sales listed here are clerk tax deed sales, where the property itself is auctioned after a certificate holder applies for a deed.
Can the owner redeem after a Florida tax deed sale?
No. Owners may redeem a certificate at any time before a tax deed is issued, but once the deed is issued and the winning bid is paid there is no post-sale redemption.
